question ?

Chris,

I understand it better now that you explained it and will add it makes more sense now while running it at 32 semi auto in trashy area it maybe running only at 3 or 4 while running it in 24 semi auto it maybe be actually running at 12-13 or more. The higher the sensitivity the more it can see and chatter more so in semi auto set high it is chattering more which can reduce the sensitivity even lower than running at a lower sensitivity in semi auto. My test in actual in the ground targets in some real trashy area in semi auto at 32 it was hard to see a dime on top of the ground, 32 manual just chattered too much to be any good. Lowered it to 24 semi auto and it was better while 24 manual still chattered, but had more depth. At 16-18 it was about the same in auto or manual and lower than that semi auto seem to work better. I always run my Explorers in manual after seeing this, but now that I use a E-Trac I find the auto +3 seems to work better than manual, but this I understand it a true auto sensitivity.
Now that you mentioned the electrical interference causing some of this I can see why it seems the higher you run auto sensitivity the more it will change the actual sensitivity to a lower number. So now i can see when running the higher number in auto sensitivity in trashier site the actual sensitivity can be quite low.
