Question???????????

Was Titan an independent company bought out by Texas Holding or was it too a division of Bounty Hunter in the very beginning?

Also how good is the Titan 1000XD for a bigginer. I have a friend interested in getting into the jewelry and coin aspect of it. I was going to recommend an ACE250 but Titan has a five year warranty.
Any ideas?

Can't answer the first part, but the Titan is the same as the Radio Shack Discovery series witch is much cheaper. I have a Discovery 3300 witch is the same as the Titan 3000dx, and very close to the Fisher F4. Works great and did not cost a arm and leg.:clapping:

I have a 3300 too and LOVE it! Maybe very close in APPEARANCE to the F4 but I am getting the F4 and will see for myself. What I read the F4 has many improvements..signal speed being just one.

You can pick up a used 3300 for under $150..the used F4 maybe about $350
