Questions about the Minelab Relic Hawk.

Got a Minelab Relic Hawk contol box on Ebay.A good deal but there are three big problems.Need to find a coil that works,12V battery and the power cord form the battery to the control box.Will a coil off a Musketeer work for this detector which they are the same frequency.Can the battery and curly cord for the SD and GP work for the Relic Hawk.Thanks Ron

yeah you snapped it up for $95.00, while I was in contact with the seller to allow me to BIN since he excluded anyone from outside the US from bidding.
the listing sounded like he didn't know what he had......funny now he has a whole pile of Minelab stuff up for auction at the going prices.
He either educated himself or he played dumb in the Relic hawk listing and sold you a bad unit. Hope it works out for you.
 
Seven,I got that 11 inch Supersearch coil for a best offer of 65.00 from the same guy.I think these coils work for the Musketeer,which I hope this coil will work for the Relic Hawk.I have owned a SD2100 and GP3000 and the Relic Hawk takes a 12v gell battery these are very hard to find.I lucked out and found one on EBay for 25 bucks and asked Danna to give it a full charge because I still don't have a charger.I still need a power cord.Well will see I'll let you know.The Relic Hawk is the worst deal I ever made a couple of years one Ebay I sent the gal in Rhode Island 495.00 and she never sent the detector lost my money.I hope this breaks the bad luck with this unit.Thanks Ron
 
That whole battery situation can be eliminated. I had a Goldenhawk that Nevada Bob converted for me , eliminates the cord, battery and relocates the phone jack into the box.

I received the Relic Hawk control box it is complete.even opened the unit up the electronic looks clean with no signs of repairs.The Musky coil connector won't work with out mods.Just got an email from a guy named Dan saying he bought a Relic Hawk box from the same guy just posted before the one I got.His sold for 54.00 and has received his so we didn't buy the same unit LOL,but still unusual?? HH Ron
 
If you can get Minelab to sell you the coil plug that goes in the El Box it must be grounded. You will have to figure it out. With the Golden hawk we used a stock XT 18000 complete rod assem and coils, we modified the mount so that the box fits horizontal instead of verticle.
 
If anyone needs a battery for a Relic Hawk you can still buy the original from BB battery, just google BB battery and call them with the model #. I bought one for my Hawk and the cost is $22.00. Beware of the charger if you have one, if you need help with with that just email me and I will help you with it. The Relic Hawk is a great machine, if you would like to check mine out let me know. I noticed that Ron from Michigan had contact with someone in Rhode Island. That's were I live, if Ron wants to contact me maybe I can help locate this person and see whats up. I bought my Hawk from a guy here in RI about three years ago.
