Managed to find an old racecar about 5 inches down, a dog licence and a bunch of pennies from the 40's on up. That shotgun shell will make a nice ring later on this fall. <img src="/metal/html/grin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":grin">

Is the car rubber or metal? If it's cast metal it's an oldie. Have you ever found any toy cars from "Occupied Japan?" After WWII the Japanese started stamping toy cars and other toys from the steel ( yes they used to be made of steel )beer cans left behind by the GI's. You could turn the toy over and the underside would still have the original beer label on it. I've got a couple or so somewhere in my junk.

The car is metal Bill. The bottom is rusted beyond reading anything. The 3 tires are rubber (I think)and in pretty bad shape. That is an interesting story about those cars with the beer label still underneath. Any chance of a pic?

Your car is probably from the 30's or 40's. I'll show a pic of the beer can toys if I can find them and if I didn't give them away to kids.
