Quick question on the gti 1500..

What type of ground balance does the 1500 use? Fixed ground balance, tracking or manually adjustable??
 
The ground balancing is set at the factory. You can't adjust it.
 
The 1500 has an automatic ground balance. It was given a new chip a couple of years ago so that it won't overload if the ground becomes to mineralised, but if you find that the ground is too mineralised for the imaging coil to handle, then all targets will register as 3.5. It has 2 receive coils to make the imaging work. If this happens then just use the 5x10 DD coil (Scorcher coil).

The 1500 has automatic GB plus ground tracking and scan track. Scan Track automatically adjusts the detector to your particular scanning speed and method.
