Quick question on the sniper coil ?

Just got the sniper coil last week and the ground is still frozen. Took my other machine out yesterday to a school playground.
It's all wood chips. The best I could get down is 2" to 3 " then it was impossible.
How deep will the sniper go in good ground?
I know you can crank it up all the way. At least they say.

Happy Hunting

The size of the sniper coil 4 1/2" doesn't sound small, but when installed and looking down at it boy it's small.
But I'm super glad I finally bought one.

Thank again

I cranked it all the way up, even in bad soil it runs good with the sniper. I routinely get pennies at 7". It may jump from iron to cent . It is a deep cent.

I couldn't believe how close it was getting to my standard coil. Ground signal probably affects the larger coil more. Anywho, it's now the only coil I use.
