I am not working today so obviously I want to detect. Forecast calls for high heat and humidity. I was up at dawn so I figured what the heck. Back to my gold coin site. I was super stoked to finally find another chain. Buried 4 inches deep. Zinc cent signal. Not broken. 16.47g. Marked sterling. Nicely made. Also got the 46 wheat which is number 61 for the year. 50 plus clad coins for around 7 bucks. I made it 1 1/2 hours before the heat kicked up. I got home just as I would normally be going out to hunt. That black thing is a laser pointer. Turn of the century I think!

Here's another story from the strange but true file. I stopped at the store to buy Klondike bars because they are having a great sale. Two packs for 3 bucks, must buy two. This lady in front of me has one pack of Klondike bars which is going to cost her $3.29 and I tap her on the shoulder and say if you buy two of those Klondike bars it will actually cost you less than buying one. She looked confused and I motion for her to follow me. I take her to the display. I say good deal right? She stands there dumbfounded, I pick up a coupon that had a picture of two boxes of Klondike bars and a huge $3 on it, hand it to her, and I walk back toward the line which now has more people in it. The lady goes over to the help desk and the next thing I know the manager is tapping me on the shoulder asking me why I'm harassing this lady and taking her out of line and then taking her spot. I laugh and tell him what happened and he says you know the lady doesn't speak English. I should have known. Luckily the store has a Spanish speaking cashier and she explained to the lady that by buying two she actually saves money and that I was trying to help her. The lady came over and tried to apologize and said gracias or some such and I said to the cashier this is why I shouldn't do good deeds. This whole exchange took over 10 minutes plus a few minutes of the people in line thinking I was harassing this old lady when all I was doing was being nice. Maybe Obama is tight and we all need to learn Spanish. Anybody know how the detecting is in New Zealand?
