Racer 2 with Mars Tiger coil

I had a short window to take the Racer 2 out to the field today equipped with the Mars 10x13 Tiger coil. Initially I ran it out away from where the old homestead and dense iron is located hoping to pickup any stray coins that may be scattered in the field. After a couple of hours and no luck I called it a day and headed back to the car. Knowing I had to cross the iron pit on the way I dropped the sensitivity a bit, raised the coil a couple inches during my sweeps and went for it. 2 IH pennies and some other non-ferrous items later I headed for home.

you are smart to raise the coil 2" as this will lesson the efect of Iron and let good targets thru .

Yup makes a big coil perform like a smaller one. I dropped the gain way down to... 90. lol

90...yeah that's low :surprised: Mine seems to be locked at 98, 99 gets a bit unstable :drinking:
