I don't have a Minelab Extera 70, but my Omega 8000's control box looks almost identical to the 70's. It is the first thing I noticed when I got the Omega. If it is close to the same, I might just buy one and cut two slits for the Omega's knobs. If anyone has access to both, please let us know. R.L.
 
hey, R.L. , I have a xterra 70 w/ cover and the cover does fit on the omega. If you put it on the omega only the small speaker jack will be available without cutting. Then you have to cut a new hole for the coil cable and of course holes for the two knobs. Or you don't have to cut hole for the knobs as there is enough room to slip your thumb in and turn knobs easily. Craig
