in it only for their own good - forever like this. Once you realize there's nothing you can do it's easy to move on. I'll be concerned about my next trip out instead, steve in so az

Yes, Bill, they promise, get in and do nothing for the people! They just help each other get elected and I wouldn't give any money to get them re-elected! I used to give money trying to get the good people (if there are any) in office and trying to get laws passed to stop killing the preborn babies and other things concerning godliness, but nothing changes, as they kill the bills or drag them out until people forget or go on to something else that is needing changed! So goes life and like Steve said just do what you can for yourself to keep on going and anyone that needs help that you know personally! Even organizations that are supposed to help the poor and handicapped get most of the money!

So live and do good for those around you and love God, Who is the heart-changer of the sinniers who will repent and accept Jesus as their own personal Savior!

Hope you are feeling better and getting out detecting!

God Bless!

Well, you could do like I did, I dropped down from an 8 cylinder car to a 4 cylinder car. The savings are amazing. But I have to admit that I am very very mad at the gasoline and food prices!!!!! My next move will be to get a used motorcycle and save even more on gas!!!! I also have a bicycle that I ride when I go to a buddy's house.

hmmm. my mom told me that this happen with all grains soon. she said this about a month ago. now i read about the rice today on my front page. she said wheat will be very expensive as well because of the goverment giving farmers tax breaks for growing corn instead of wheat. that will put a damper on how much wheat is being produced here and raise the prices dramatically. but who knows. the bible says this will all happen in gods time. Remeber the verse.....if God takes care of the birds of the air and feeds them why do you worry. are you not more important then the birds? paraphrasing a bit here but you all which verse i am speaking of.

I've been told the food prices are from a combination of the price of gas to move them and the fact the farmers are growing more soy beans and corn just to make it into ethanol instead of growing it for food. Therefor with less farmers growing the food for consumption its making the food prices rise. I'm not totally sure of this but it makes since.

Hi dobbie, your mother is right about the wheat and now rice! They make flour out of both wheat and I believe also rice! The flour has already gone up a lot! Rice used to be, along with potatoes, a poor man's staples........but not any more! Everything that contains wheat and rice will go up in price! I can see why many have their own gardens, large or small, to provide or to supplement their foods from the store! Going back to raising chickens for eggs and cows for milk! Hey, I've already been through all that growing up, and at my age now, I don't care too much to go back to farming or gardening! :)

But maybe the younger ones need a lesson in life and they are about to get one!

God Bless!

Thats another thing, wasn't ethanol added to gasoline to make the cost come down????? I just filled up on Friday and it was 10% ethonal, but it was $3.50 a gal for regular. Today it is $3.76 for regular with 10% ethonal!!!!!!

I have had it too! I bet if somebody that was running for president, said that he would make gas much cheaper that he would get all the votes!
That is how people would vote! With their pocket books! :( God help us!

REVELATION 6:6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

IT ....IS .... COMING!! DON'T BE AFRAID....BE READY!!

I remember all those things Bill and it is a sad thing. Problem we have now is the technology won't let any of us be shady tree mechanics any more. I just posted earlier about the gas rationing in England when I was there. I remember in 68-69 I drove a Ford Fairlane/Galaxy 500 with a V8 and gas was 28 cents a gallon.

Those were the good old days...want a scary thought....for kids today the $3.68 a gal gas now will be their good old days in 20 years or more.

Whay I like is that in Vensuela, gas is still under 50 cents per gallon. But we dont like them so we are paying just south of $4 a gallon.
