I'm Excal heavy again with 3 units. This a rare 1997 Excal NY and it is in very nice condition. The units were hand built by Gary Storm and his team in NY for Minelab from 1994-1997. The build quality and performance is excellent, as compared to the newer units.

It is fitted with a factory Minelab Tornado 1000 coil too, that was installed at the factory before I bought the unit. It is powered by a new ANDROS NiMH battery insert in the alkaline cell. I have an extra ONLYBATTERYPACKS 1400 MAH cell I'll throw in too, but it is not in an alkaline pack, as I only have one for the unit. It is fitted onto a Lightning Rod straight shaft too, so no worries there. I will provide a Minelab OEM charger and adapter as well.
Will Minelab work on the unit you ask? Here is the latest information I have seen on their current stand.

Does the unit work, well here is this weeks hunt. Just took the unit to the surf to make sure all was well. No gold, but check out the lead weights(similar density to gold), and that is an "Elmwood" spoon is PAT1915 and I believe it is sterling! I suspect if I had gone over any gold, it would have sucked it up based on that lead showing. NO, I did not recover the loop, LOL!

The price you ask? $1000 OBO, but only serious offers will be entertained. If you come at me with a ridiculous offer, expect a ridiculous response. I will eat the Paypal 3% ding, but other forms of payment will be accepted AND I will eat Fed-X Ground CONUS. You will receive a tracking #, after funds have been secured. I'm not in a bind to sell it, so I will just take my time and wait for my offer.
