Here's 2 much better photo's I took today in natural light. Even if I never find out who this person was, or it can't be valued, it's still a one of a kind piece of Colonial New England history......
 
I said I have found the matrix's before...this time I found the part WITH the stone. I read about "fob seals". This may be one of those or maybe it's just came off it's handle? Nothing appears broken off anyhwhere....
