Re-Bar ?

I get a lot of tones right at the edge of concrete . I have dug some and pulled a few coins but others have turned up nothing. Do some of you find a lot of good things right on the edge? Sometimes I run the coil out over the concrete and the tones continue so I assume some of the signals are re-bar in the concrete. What's your take on this?

Just today I dug a signal at the edge of a sidewalk and it turned out to be a 1945 merc....you just never know. If the numbers are right...dig it. I'll be posting pics later....had another 2 silver day, but going out again later tonight hoping to find a Barber for the trifecta.

Rebar and junk discarded before the concrete was poured is quite common. Just like any iron it makes detecting a little tricky. I will try TTF next time I am in an area with rebar close to where I am detecting if theres not to much modern trash. Idigid

Just wait till you get a solid silver signal under the middle section of a solid square of concrete walk, talk about something that'll drive ya nuts..........NGE
