Thanks for all the great responses. Think I would have had to read a lot of forums to find out the information you guys gave.

I should have mentioned that I mostly hunt old foundations usually with a lot of iron. That is why I bought the minelab but I think it misses targets close to iron. The C$ seems like it would do much better. Occasionally I hit the local beaches but they are usually cleaned out. I thought the X5 could find some of the small stuff they missed but if it has trouble with iron then it won't satisfy my needs.
I didn't want to own 2 detectors as the good ones aren't cheap but I guess that is the way to go. If I get the C$ and it works better than my minelab in the iron then I will use the minelab at the beach and hope I get there before anyone else.
