Keith Wills has a lot of older detector manuals for sale and very likely has copies of the 280 manual. You can go to the product/service page of his website at the link below, scroll down the page almost to the bottom and you'll see the info about ordering manuals. The price is right, $6 including shipping. Hopefully he can help you.
