General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

This is my original unit, purchased Jan. '06 and has been impeccably maintained and all work performed by Minelab technicians.

I am Excal heavy right now, with 3 units. Decided to part with the 1000. This AIN'T your daddy's Excal though. This one breaths fire and much gold has fallen to this unit. $900 with Gray Ghost Underwaters $800 without, final offer, take it or leave it. I pay FED-X Ground conus, insured. In the event you are wanting to build this new, here is what it will cost you. OBTW, it just came back from Minelab, with a clean bill of health too and I test drove it once and it is purring!


1. Excal II $1198.97 (This one works though)
2. Lightning Rod Straight shaft $110.
3. Gray Ghost Underwater Headphones w/ikelite connector $130. Koss stock headphones, w/ikelite connector, for back-up
4. Mods labor to install Gray Ghost, mod Koss headphones and cut coil wire to 40" (no longer hip mountable) $126.00
5. Tornado coil $219.00 (hardwired by Minelab)
6. Alkaline battery pod $49.97
7. Extra coil covers 3-2-new 1 used @$12.97 (coil has Loctite Marine Epoxy though)

Leaving the coil covers out of the equation $1833.94
