This is an old photo of the beach in 1914, and it was located to the extreme right side of the pavilion building you see in the other photo, you can see the tree line to the right. In that section even seated liberty coins had been dug as well as Gold coins. To get to this side of the beach, one had to cross a bridge and come in via Hunter Island and on through the twins Islands... Google... Orchard Beach.

Sure was a popular beach for years and years! Hopefully, it is now or will be again! If they can't swim, they will still lay on towels or blankets and play their games and lose things while the weather is warm enough......soooo Happy Hunting! :)
