Not too far from where I dug the 1918 D SLQ I dug another 1920 SLQ, in almost the same shape as the 1918... The 1918 D was only 1" in the soil. The 1920 however was a good 6 to 8" when I dug her. Really nice to dig these beauties, especially when you don't dig one memorial, but Wheaties... Spot was not visited in many years.

Man, you got a great spot there. Beautiful coin, still haven't found one of those yet. Are you still hunting that spot or have you gone over most of it ?

On the way out of the way places... Intuition is playing a big part because the spot has been hunted before, but looks like with some low end detectors from the 60's and 70's. My take is that a lot of hunters don't want to deal with the thorns, which by the way you need to be very careful with. I'm going to start to wear goggles to protect my eyes as these suckers sometimes are unpredictable. I especially work around the base of the trees, esp. the big ones. HH...

I think there are more to be had at this spot. I hope everyone that has not dug one of these beauties will this year... HH...
