a short time ago a video was posted recording a trip to england i watched in awe and then started to question it i have spoken to a few people in england who deal with exports and all is not what it seems so i want my american buddies to understand these sort of finds are very unusual in england it would be once in a lifetime to come across such land and i dont want you guys to get hoodwinked and dissappointed if you make the trip i have alot of information to hand and therefore this is a friendly warning there are genuine people over here that will share their permissions with you llike a guy in cumbria i saw offering such a genourous deal for a fellow american and this is what detectoring is about this offer was not about MONEY but about FRIENDSHIP so to all you guys and gals that work hard for your money think twice perhaps we could try and arrange some trips where you stay at a fellow detectorist house i wonder how many guys in england would like to do that like foreign exchange that we use to have at school years ago so you get fed and some detecting as well might be a good idea i will put it on one of the sites and see if i get anyone interested take care all my buddies happy hunting

Hello Sugar,
Thank you for your concern and approaching this sensitive subject
Prior to booking a MD trip to England for this September, I had some concerns
I previously thought about such a "exchange program" and wondered why it did not exist
We live in a historic area but as you know there are no guarantees in MDing
Still this is an exciting concept and certainly worth exploring
I also am interested in what others have to say
