Really giving it a good run

After having no luck door knocking, I decided to go to 2 different parks I had hit hard in the past. They've had a chance to replenish themselves and gave me a large number of good targets to play around with. Due to the high amount of trash, I started in a 4kHz High Trash Program and tested signals in adjacent identical programs using different frequencies. When I found a good target I switched back and forth from 4 to 8 to 12 and found that 8kHz really sounded off for me. I started to get very used to what I was hearing and pretty much knew what was I going to dig. I ended up with $5.01 in clad - 9 Quarters, 19 dimes, 6 nickels and 56 pennies, a gold colored ring and a silver colored dangly earring. My last target and the biggest surprise of the hunt was a 1947D Roosevelt that I found on the way back to my car! It was just beneath the surface and obviously something someone had received in change somewhere.
