Really lovin my SE! . . . with SunRay 12" coil

It's hot, it's fast, it's stable, what more could a guy want? Still waiting to hit on an ultra-deep coin still with it.

Found a silver ring, a 1908 Haitian 50c coin and about $5.00 in quarters in about an hour hunting yesterday. The '08' coin hit around nickel but decided to dig anyway. Was real surprised to dig it out as it is a little bigger than our quarter.

Will have to post picture later.

For some reason my stock 10" coil is stable. I just like the 12" for more coverage, is sensitive but not unstable, and it goes deep too.

I'll have to check the stock coil out some more to see if I can make it more unstable than the stock coil on my Explorer XS.

you have an unstoppable machine. Mine just falses too much over thick grass or if the grass gets wet. Heck it even chirps without either of the above. My SE really likes the 10 x 14 though. At first I wasn't sure about that coil...but now I really like it...except that it's one heavy sucker!

I dont look at the screen to much just go by sound.Right before I dig I look to see what it is telling me sometimes you will be surpised at what you will dig that dont give a good reading dew to other trash in the ground close to target and sometimes it trash.

Some of my best finds gave a rather horrid sound and the cursor was not always right on. There must have been other trash targets nearby or just bad ground skewing the sound and cursor.

Why is it everyone is changing over from the stock SE coil to accesserie coils.. Sounds like a lot of people dont like this SE COIL.I dont like it its crap.........

When you can hear the deep silver target but is masked by shallower trash showing shallow trash on the curser and depth meter. Give it some jiggles over the target at 90 degrees apart to pin point and dig that nice "masked" coin out. Many times you'll only hear the silver from one direction? Just my experience...
