The Unc. and I are pretty close together. He lives in the Portland Ore. area and I am 25 miles north on the other side of the Columbia.
The rain only falls 360 days a year here so don't let him get you believing it rains ALL the time.

In Portland, Oregon. We have winters like this once in awhile where it rains forever. One year it started in September and didn't let up till July the fourth. It really sucks.
