Recomended coil for the AT GOLD?

well I just got the at gold took it on its first relic hunt and was wondering on field hunts the best recommended coil for depth for intermediate soil conditions?
 
I run with the 5x8 nearly all the time, but my sites are usually iron and trash infested. If you are working a field that isn't brushy or trashy, the 8.5x11 would be a little faster, and you'd gain an inch or so...
