I have used cable ties and a hose (cut with a blade). Hose goes on super easy and cable tie as needed.
 
I've heard of some guys spraying the bottom with that liquid bed liner.
 
Ya i have too but the cost of that item few dollars more you get the factory hard plastic the hose idea what size since it isn't a complete round coil if you use tubing it would have to be at lease 2inches on the back side of the coil and the other portion is only about 3/4"

That's exactly what has been on mine since new. Better than factory if cut correctly. And the curve of the hose let's you usually wash out the sand.
