Red Racer at the beach

This morning, I finally had the opportunity to use my Red Racer, at a salt water beach.
Wow! Is all I can say. Way way better than anticipated, as good as advertised. The beach was vacant of hardly any metal. Found 7 clad coins, a safety pin, and a metal button, in a two hour hunt.

Set it in beach mode, gain at 90, and target id at 40. Very quite, except when it was spot on over a target. Several times I tossed a coin on the ground to make sure it was turned on.

Dry sand, wet sand, didn't matter, worked perfectly. Oh, I did find some lead weights. Gave them to a fisherman. Perfect 82 on them. This beach is not a "party" beach. Not as much surf traffic as say, Myrtle Beach proper. I'm guessing that's the reason for the lack of metal.

Oh yeah. I had no trouble with gb. I also set it in tracking 1.
