This is some sort of a pin that I found in a field that also produced large cents dated late 1700's to early 1800's--but also a concentration of coins around 1900. The site has been a public park from 1898 to present. It appears to have a rather heavy application of gold on a copper alloy base. I'm hoping someone could help me determine age and/or style of pin as well as any other descriptive info (i.e. was it meant to be worn in any particular place? etc.) Red stone is presumed to be non-precious, but not sure. Thanks, Dan
