Relics/Beach and the E Track

Member
Im looking at buying a E Track....But I have to ask...do any of you guys use yours for relics? Looks like the E is great on silver, which I love to hunt old coins but my friend like hunting old deep relics. He uses a MXT and has pretty good returns with it. Could I compete with the E Track? given I put the time into it to learn the machine?

Also I know people use the E on beaches but is it any good in wet sand? Are they waterproof?

Thanks for any help! And if you dont mind...tell me why you bought your etrac. Thanks.

The E-Trac is NOT waterproof, except the coil is submersible. I have used my E-Trac on vacation while beach hunting and it is excellent. I have found coins at least 14 inches deep and up to 18 inches with a WOT coil. The E-Trac runs very smooth at the beach from the water edge and wet sand to the dry with NO falsing or problems. If you hunt the water edge you must be very careful, if you raise your coil in the air and have water run through your shaft to your connection to your control box you may zap it, but that goes with any machine that is not waterproof. The Minelabs handle salt water beaches very well and will find you the Gold and Jewelry.

You will not have any problems competing with the MXT. The. Question is how long will it take your friend to buy an Etrac? LOL
