I posted this in the Views forum, thought I would share it here as well.
Not many of of "The Greatest Generation" left.
One I know of and we are close with he and his wife have been married 77 years!
He was a Navy pilot in the South Pacific, survived getting shot down and later became a Jag Officer and then retired as a Captain and commander of our local Naval Reserve Center.
