remember the younger times folks ,those teenage years when times were great and you had few worries.now time has passed us by our friends are beganning to pass on.times sure have pass by fast, melancholy has set in and those highschool memories are coming back.i have lost so many friends that have passed on hope some of them found the lord.use to be run track in highschool and went to state now the only place i run to is the table and the tiolet.hope when we get to heaven we will change and look 25 again

Sadly, I don't have any first-hand knowledge of the good old days. Sometimes I feel like I was born 50 years too late, but God has a plan for me NOW. It is a struggle to be olf-fashioned in this crazy world! My mom always talks about how good a coke and a bag of peanuts tasted when she was little. They were a special treat and she got them very seldom.

yep,coke and a bag of peanuts ---wow. we put the peanuts into the bottle and drink the coke with the peanuts----ask your momtimes were so simple.no one locked their doors there was nothing to steal..we played from sun up to sun down,if moms needed you the word would come down from 5 blocks down the road.all sodas were a nickle and they would come in bottles.movies were 20 cents for a cartoon and a double feature.hambugers were 15 cents,popcorn a nickle got to go to the movies on saturdays and ME AND MY GIRL FRIEND WOULD HOLD HANDS.WHAT WOULD I GIVE TO GO BACK TO 50'S AND 60'S --BEST YEARS OF MY LIFE.

Yes, that is exactly how I've heard mom describe it. I used to laugh at her because she would go into the smallest detail when describing that treat....you would have thought she was eating first class all the way. It's ashame people can't realize simple things are the best!!! I feel that way about chicken and dumplins...my momma taught me the proper way to cook them and that's the ONLY way to eat them. Lol. The stuff you get at Cracker Barrel or out of a can is just nasty!

remember the first color TV's. They were awefull but we were determined to watch to watch them; rabbit ear antennas and all. Remember, " Don't move we got a bpicture." !!!!!!!! Remember the Munsters, Leave It To Beaver, The Adams Family. Cousin It was cool. Remember playing "Flippsies" with the baseball cards. Today those blasted cards can buy a house. !!!! yep ,those were the days things were so simple at times "the past that time forgot".this kids now days have 100% more than we had growing up,we had hard times but we stuck together.when i was a mear lad of 5------10 years of age i had the fastest horse on the block his name was "pinto"! i would get just as tired as my horse did. MAYBE BECAUSE HE WAS A "STICK HORSE"GOOD OLD BROOM HANDLE NAMED PINTO. he had a rope through his neck so he would not buck me off keep those oldies coming love to hear your stories
