General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

i get ripped off and im at fault??oh come on now....put yourself in my shoes dude.....spend your monies and get ripped off and see how you really feel..im sure youll feel just like i do,but then again you might be one who has tons of monies and just doesnt care about integrity and doing a honest days work for a honest days wages as agreed to...
 
I bet he got the detectors mixed up and sent someone else John's detector.
He needs to man up and make his mistake right.
If not then he is just another crook and should be sued if not jailed.

John ... no way are you at fault.
You sent him your Excalibur for repair and he charged you for that.
He must have got mixed up and sent your detector to someone else.
(You said he was working on several of them)

What is bad is his reaction to you asking about getting YOUR detector back.
You know the serial number and can identify YOUR detector by that.
A few jewelers have went to jail for switching out diamonds on repair jobs and your metal detector is no different.
Only the intent is different here ... most likely he did not intend to send you the wrong detector or profit from the switch.
If he is not man enough to admit he made a mistake and set things right then he should be sued for your damages and expenses.
Sometimes people get a bit too big for their britches and need to be given a reality check (or an attitude adjustment).

Just my humble opinion.
 
nah no updates as of today,its Christmas eve,id hope id get an email from bill wanting to resolve this issue,but I'm not going to hold my breath,Ive got all my forms in order and next week ill be sending them out to the various agencies and then see what they can do for me,then there's the small claims action yet to be filed too,I'm just hoping this guy will make a positive move here,ill update when anything else comes around.

Sorry you had to have something like this on your mind during Christmas. It's hard for me to not let things bother me like that. Like I said, I got drunk and stewed around when it looked like the guy I sold an Explorer to was scamming me out of my money. I know how something like this can weigh on you. I wouldn't worry about any threats of lawsuits he tries to send your way so long as you are telling the truth. He didn't send you the right machine back, and the one he sent you was in worse condition. End of story. Period. Now, it doesn't matter if that was by accident. He's still responsible for fixing the problem. It was his mistake. Beyond all that you have every right to get vocal about it until he does something to make you happy. That can be your machine back, another one in equal condition, or money to make up the difference in quality between your old one and this new one he sent you. Just stay away from calling him names and such because that only makes things worse. Stick to the facts and spread those facts on all the forums if he doesn't make things right.
 
thanks guys for all the support,itll be a new year next week and this will be at the top of my agenda for thiungs to do,i was hoping just maybe he would have contacted me to resolve this issue but as of this post i have nothing from him,soo next week ill file suit against him and see what happens..ill keep all posted here,again thanks for all the support

I'd be willing to bet that his lawyer told him to stop doing business because he's not filing taxes on anything. A law suit is gonna bring that stuff to light. no, no updates yet, still have this chewed up excal and still NO word from bill as to try to resolve this at all, im headed for the beach in a couple of weeks to go beach hunting too..im bummed out too.....

Hello All,

I just saw this post and need to catch up. I sent my Minelab Excalibur to Bill on December 7th. He has received it. Due to the holidays, my work schedule and the winter, I have not checked in to the status of my repair. I emailed him two days ago without response. I can not seem to find my original emails to him, so I have lost his phone number. What is going on?

[size=large]Hi Digger, this is Harold in Fla. he repaired mine a while back and never had a problem, and with this all going on i tried to call him and email him and no answer like the rest of you treasure hunters, he was going to send me a pair of his headphones and that's a joke also, so now people i wouldn't send him a thing because he is doing people wrong, but somebody will catchup with this guy and return the favor.[/size]

call minelab give them serial number they should have it on record who the owner is
 
they should have the info on your machine also for your law suit
