managed to get in 5 hours total detecting over the weekend ,2 on sat and 3 hours sunday before getting rained off yet again but have a look at this lot for a haul ,few coins one of them a silver sixpence plus loads of buttons and bits ,a clay pipe found eyes only and a 16th century satyre mask

Nice haul there, I love seeing you guys recover old relics and coins.

I've been meaning to ask, Do you guys find allot of musket rifle parts? I've only found two musket rifle butt plates in my career and wondered with the much older history you guys and gals live in would get a ton of them.

Thanks for sharing, Those are really good finds, Finds like those are a dream come true for many of us us.
Congrats, Paul

Hi Paul most are unrecognisable, with the plough constantly attacking them ,once found a pistol 18thC but a real mess, and well rotted , we do find loads off musket balls and on accasional powder holders in lead ,but usually we discrim iron out off our searching, other wise in our farmland searchs we would be constantly digging IRON ,but have to admit there are some very good objects spear- heads, axe's etc .

i have somewhere a musket/rifle complete trigger guard but any iron parts we tend to disc out or ignore ,theres more than enough non ferrous to deal with
