REvisited a park that nearly skunked me last weekend:detecting:

Now that is determination. I could tell from your email that you would be going back to redeem yourself...and to hopefully be able to stop pouting after that park almost got the best of you.. There is not a pounded park anywhere within 100 miles that you wouldn't find things at and I have seen that for myself. I have watched you dig a bunch of old coins out of the ground in the last few weeks. You are great with your SE and I am checking on a couple of more places for us to try.

I hope you get to do some hunting this weekend. I'm not sure what the weather is supposed to do here...but I hope to meet up with a few people this weekend if we can find a few parks to hunt at. I have met a bunch of really great people over the last few weeks that are a blast to hunt with. I went to club hunt about 3 weeks ago and it was good to meet people who share the same interests.

I was even going to be able to redeem myself...but I do know I wanted a second shot at it:bouncy:
It could have just as easily went the other way...and I might have left irritated again....but no way can you hunt a park for less than 2 hours and give up on it.
Let me know if you get us some more places to try. I'm going totry and hit a couple of the same old places this weekend with another forum member...and you are welcome to come along if you want. We may not find anything...but we'll still have fun. No competition here buddy...but you already know that. Take care...and get a scanner or digital camera will ya'...so you can post the stuff you find.

You sure have a lot of great sites to detect at that still yeild them Oldies, that's for sure! WTG with the 2 Quarters Pocket Spill! Too bad they weren't 1932-s's, but can't complain about getting 2 Quarters from the 30's either. Nice lot of finds and hope it continues for you in your next hunt. Continued Success, Good Luck and HH Buddy!:detecting:

lived closer so we could do some huntin' together. I'm sure between the two of us we could scare up a few wheaties and maybe a silver or two from some beat up sites:thumbup:
I haven't been able to get too far from home over the last year or so with my mom's health being what it was..and now my dad is very ill too.....but at least I can use detectin' as therapy.
I remember when I first got my SE a couple of years ago and thought it was a lot different than my EX2 was. Problem wasn't going from the EX2 to the SE though...the problem was that the stock SE coil didn't like me. :bouncy:
You gave me some tips back then to try ...and they ended up helping me along a LOT...and I appreciate it:thumbup:
I also remember going to St.Louis to hunt with GOLDDIGGER for the first time....and I picked up a lot of good things from him too. I watched that feller' dig up a diamond earing from a park that was absolutely pounded. I then met him another time and he gave me my first taste of the little 6" excelerator coil. He let me listen to stuff before he dug it...and I was amazed.
The third time I went...GOLDDIGGER and I met up with Mike Moutray. You talk about someone who knows his machine...AND sites. Mike took me to a couple of places and I ended up finding my first half dime there. If Mike wasn't kind enough to share his spot...it never would have happenned. I took in everything he said about the site about how and where certain things occurred there back in the 1800's. He is very knowledgeable and I learned a lot just by listening to him.
Anyway my friend...thanks...and I hope you find a jackload of silver and wheaties the next time out....and some injuns to boot. Take care
