In my youth I had seen original Civil War jackets belonging to the Richmond light infantry Blues that had silver washed Virginia buttons on them. Does anyone have any knowledge or know how to determine if all silver washed Virginia's are from that unit? That local militia unit was eventually accepted into the army of Northern Virginia
