I bought my SE Pro about 6 weeks ago and all I can say WOW!!! This detector has got me some pretty deep over look coins. I am consistantly pulling wheats cents from 8 to 10 inches from the ground. I did go out this mourning for about an hour and a half and pulled out 3 wheat cents down about 8 inches and one was next to a piece of steel wire. You know what I didn't need a colored screen to tell me that I had a coin next to a piece of iron. Since it is hot and dry here just like it is in the rest of the country, I am limited to where I can go right now, but when fall gets here I have few places in mind that I will take my SE Pro to. I want to thank you guys for all the information I got from Minelab Explorer forum.

It's great you are enjoying your new SE . What may be the newest and the best for some isn't always for everyone . The important thing is that you like what you are using and you are content and confident with it . There's also a lot to be said about having the newest and the best especially if it is working for you and you feel you are doing much better with it . Happy hunting John .:cheers:

Yep you got that right. I was thinking about maybe getting one but then I saw all the problems they were having with them. It didn't seem like they were finding anything better or more stuff, and they were digging up same amount of junk. So I decided to take advantage of the hype and get nice use Explorer. I am glad I did,

I end up getting an se with 4 extra coils for $800. instead. I ve been waiting over a month to get out and use it, its so dry. I might have to use the money I saved and buy a jackhammer!

LOL :rofl:. I know what you mean. When I got mine I able to go out hunting for a week and then the heat wave hit with no rain. So I was limited were I could go detecting. When we did get some rain it would hit the rock hard ground an roll off. Then finally it rained for about 3 days and I was to do some detecting, but then the heat came back and now the gound is drying up again. I cannot wait until the fall.
