Ring ID or Information????????

A girl at work brought this ring to work. Found it in her mothers' house. The ring could be up to a hundred years old. Looks like gold on the outside, with 3 rings of copper in the inside. The outside has GRC stamped on it. My guess is that it could be a ring designed to be worn and to relieve the sympoms of arthritis, as some believe wearing a copper bracelet is good for or prevents arthritis. Any other ideas???

Although I don't know what the initials mean.Copper has been thought to "cure" symptons of arthritis for hundreds of years.I have seen examples of "arthritis" rings but none that match yours...Good luck

Since it has rings of copper, could the base metal be copper, with a heavy gold plating?? <img src="/metal/html/shrug.gif" border=0 width=37 height=15 alt=":shrug">
