Ring marking

Hi,
Found a small ring the other day and now that it is cleaned up I can see a marking on the inside, it is a 6 with a line underneath, does anyone know what that means at all ?

I think the #6 is for the size of the ring, but I maybe wrong.

I found a "mood" ring that had the same exact marking. I agree with Kiwi, it seems to be the marking for the ring size.

Thanks for you replies, it does sound like a ring size, in reply to "dignit" the mood ring you found is the metal & outside a sort of a bronze colour with a black ceramic band, if so it sounds like what I have found, I put it on my little finger & it has changed colour

How do you know when you are in a good mood......... I know its when you are out & about .........LOL

the line under the 6 shows that it is a six not a 9. it is a size 6. h.h. Gary

I found two of those things so far, one sounds like yours (bronze or coppery color metal) the other one has a thicker bright silvery color metal band with a dark band around it that changes colors depending on the temperature..Funny the ring I found was also a size 6 as well...The mood ring changes to "green" when you start finding the good stuff...such as rings!!! :
