Found this thing with the Simplex last week. Depth about 7 or 8 inches down. I am not sure if it is a finger ring or just a junk wire piece. Looks to be made of copper or something similar,,

It's hard to say by that picture but it could be a "twisted" finger ring. I found one last year on a beach. It was black when I got it out and it changed to a nice toned silver color when I cleaned it out with a paste of water/bicarbonate soda. All my detectors ID it as a solid number in the silver range so I guess it is silver although there are absolutely no markings.

Yes mine looks very much like yours except mine is not silver. Twisted finger ring it is then!
