This is the Sunday night spin--Sorry for posting late. Trying to catch up on the sleep deprivation....still WAY behind...

Whelp..went out to find something silver. Wasn't being greedy, just wanted something silver--didn't have to be a ring, just something besides the usual clad.

Started out with the usual clad. Wasn't too bad, it was a nice mixture at least--not the 6 pennies and then a dime, 6 pennies, nickel, etc. etc.

I dug a nice little clad patch/spillage..I'd look up every so often and seems like Mike is doing the same..he's digging lots & not moving down the beach much. I start heading down the beach & hit a penny signal. There's a couple sitting up on the beach enjoying the extremely early morn view...?? I was going to leave it so as to not disturb them...swung again to be sure....sniffed a quarter....can't leave a quarter behind...so I dug both!!

I continued on and walked past Mike (nothing good found yet) 20 or so yards to give him his territory because he was still a digging fool.
I know my limitations with my Machine (Quattro)& the water & trying to recover a target in the water. I normally stay in the wet sand away from where the waves come crashing in.....for some reason I decided to push these limits...the wave action was a little unusual on this morning. When pulling out, it seemed to really go out.....but when it came in..sometimes it would be a shallow wave...sometimes it would go all the way up to the top of the wet sand. Sometimes waves seemed to come in 5 or 6 strong before it pulled back out.

I meandered down a little bit far and hit a nice target. It ended up being the plain 10K White gold band!! (For size reference, a Nickle fits in it with comfort room) This easily made my hunt!! Especially since the last 4 hunts had not yielded anything good! I was beginning to think I'd have to retire my Mascot! This one was "fun" to get...Found it easily enough, but recovering was something else..Waves seem to know EXACTLY when I DON'T need them to bother me...ended up lifting my detector up a few times to ensure that a wave didn't drench it.

Next up...the 14K Men's band with 7 "Diamonds" (they didn't test real)
Sorry--don't remember the details...Too excited at the time thinking I had found some significant Ice??...Sleep Dep?? Currently Tired also...

NEXT!! Once again, I went down a little further then I should have. Hit a target w/ an ID of 23 to 25.....
From previous experience, this could be a Russian coin, a small light bulb (that they use on the beach for X-Mas displays) or a Gold Ring!! In-between waves, I figure out where it's at and on the first scoop..the waves start rollin' in! I wait. Not going to lose this one.
I finally have it in the scoop...up to the beach and dump the sand out to find out what I have...it's my THIRD gold ring in ONE night!! I am totally flabbergasted!!
I'd say all three rings were found in an hour & in about 2 blocks of each other.
Targets were everywhere--weren't making much headway down the beach.

It's getting late & we have a set time that we HAVE to leave so I start straight-lining it down the beach (more like a Big snake...I couldn't resist not going down a little further when the water went out)

Somewhere along the way, I found a fish that was made of silver...and a little charm/necklace??? gold?? medallion.
At first I thought it was maybe plated or something else...but it has a little heft to it, so it may be gold...?? Guess I'll find out one day!!
Anybody have a clue what/where it is????

I was thinking to myself, just one more ring & I could use the subject line that I had thought of before....YES...it's SAD! I already had this Subject line picked out Way before I had found anything....& I NEVER thought I would ever have to use it.......I hit a low ID target--12.
There is NO way I have found more gold...Dug it and it is my 4th ring in ONE night!! No markings so I presume it's Stainless...but it's a ring nonetheless!!

SO this was my BESTEST (yes I know it's not a word) night ever!!!
My FIRST multi-Ring night & my first Multi-Metal night!!
I can hardly wait till next time!!!

Yeah, buddy...you were HOT that night! When the magic hits it's a wonderful thing.

As for the 7-diamond ring, I would have put money on those being real. And on most diamond testers, they would have SHOWED real. My tester tests FIRST for Diamond/not diamond (which your ring passed!) and SECOND for the synthetic diamond "Moissanite", which is certainly a few steps above "CZ" but not a real diamond. Good enough to fool most layman and a few jewelers, so I hear. Did I not mention to you that it's still VERY expensive??? So BIG congrats on ALL that booty!

Check these Moissanite facts, from Wikipedia:

Jewel
As a jewel used in jewelry, silicon carbide is called Moissanite for the jewel's discoverer Dr. Henri Moissan [5]. Moissanite is somewhat similar to diamond in several important respects: it is transparent and hard (9, although a patent states 8.5-9.0,[6] - note on the Mohs scale compared to 10 for diamond), with a refractive index between 2.65 and 2.69 (compared to 2.42 for diamond). Moissanite is somewhat harder than common cubic zirconia. Unlike diamond, Moissanite is strongly birefringent. This quality is desirable in some optical applications, but not in gemstones. For this reason, Moissanite jewels are cut along the optic axis of the crystal to minimize birefringent effects. It is lighter (density 3.22 vs. 3.56), and much more resistant to heat. This results in a stone of higher lustre, sharper facets and good resilience. Loose moissanite stones may be placed directly into ring moulds; unlike diamond, which burns at 800
