Rings cannot hide from the DeLeon #9 for the year!:wiggle:

This morning I decided that after work I was going to dig for old silver, I switched my stock coil back to my DeLeon because of the depth it offers. I knew exactly where I was going to hunt it is a place that usually gives up a deep Mercury dime or two. After work I raced over to this spot and hit the ground running finds were plentiful. This place is close to a college so pennies were everywhere with nickles, dimes, and quarters here and there. I made my way to the other side of a parking lot and got a high silver signal and drove my screwdriver in to the soft ground BAM out popped a nice silver band I couldn't believe it, a ring was the furthest thing in my mind when I set out to hunt this site. I did find a couple of old coin also two 1945d wheat pennies and a 1943p war nickle at over 6" deep. I am over half way to last years ring total and summer is just starting. If you don't own a DeLeon run don't walk to your nearest Tesoro dealer and get one and watch the rings fill your treasure chest ....... just kidding I don't need the competition. Anyway here's today's digs. Man! phinbolt, you are on a roll, let the finds keep coming:super:

I don't know what settings you use on your DeLeon... but they can't be much different than what I have set up for my wife's DeLeon. She uses the 5.3 concentric on hers and I set the Disc.setting at a point between Min.and Iron,(better nickel readings) Sensitivity at 10 (can run it this hot with small coil) and a just audible threshold in all-metal, that is pretty much it. Pretty simple and effective, we just need to get a little more detecting done, just so busy lately. Keep up the good work.

You tha' man Phinbolt! Way to go man; you are hot with that Deleon!:hot: I'm looking at getting one too but the Outlaw is tugging at me too!

Congrats! Very nice hunt! That is a Sweet Ring! Welll done, Beale.

PS I May get the Deleon now?
