River finds today....

The water finally dropped enough in a local river for me to detect some today... with temperatures in the mid 90's and the
water temperature around 90, it was not very refreshing, but keeping wet helped me stick it out for about 4 hours before calling it a day.
I would have never lasted that long detecting on land, so it was nice at least getting out for a while.

Anytime you can find 5 times more quarters than pennies, it's a good day. I tried some dry land hunting yesterday and only made it an hour. I think I need to follow your lead and do some water hunting.

Glad you got out Felix! I haven't been out for quite a while. It has been monsoon season here in Iowa. And miserable steaming weather! Finally cooling down a bit so maybe I can take a day next week..

Same here Ted…. Hot and humid and rain several times a week.
That has kept the river too high to detect this year.
It is still a little high, but with storms in the forecast for yesterday, I figured I better try it before that happened…. Good thing I did as the level has risen over a foot from the storm we had yesterday.
