Road trip report

Well my wife & I headed out for the mountains last Monday (4 hour drive) and got into the cool pines. I dug each morning for 3 days, got 308 coins, 1 wheat in the back of the truck, a silver bear's claw ear ring and mucho junk jewelry. I dug 37 nickels - guess the diggers there are not going deep.

The eye glasses are a charm, the ear ring is silver & turquoise, the heart sure looked like gold but under the magnifier you can see where the plating is worn away. It's cool though - says "I am a child of God". Good to be home, glad all are safe after the hurricane ,steve in so az

WHEN YOU HUNT WITH THE 1266 DO YOU HAVE THE SENSITIVTY KNOB ALL THE WAY IN AND CLOCK WISE ALL THE WAY TO MAX??

BILL

Bill - I keep it about 4/5 ths of the way on full. I find it chatters and such any higher. I almost always detect with #1 disc on number 3. Any lower and I dig paper staples at 6 inches. And when I used the 1265 originally, the sens knob was reversed - pull out for max. And so I was going along for an hour on low because the knob was accidentally pushed in. A good move of Fisher's part to fix that. steve
