Hi everyone

Yesterday again a real top find ... my first fallus pendant after 10 years of intensive search
(Romans used the fallus as a fertility symbol)

Greetings wim

really awesome find! you are making some amazing discoveries. i wish i had a week at such history!!!!! i'd dig 24/7 haha

Congrats on an awsome find!

I once phound a token with the phickle phinger of phate on one side and phour-phingered phrog on the other while visiting Filadelfia. I phound out it was a foney and a phake.

In the 70's I The Boat I was serving in was in Naples. A group of us went down to Pompeii. Went up to the top of Mount Vesuvius. Then a tour thru the ancient city. I noticed a Phallus Symbol over the door of a couple of different buildings. Seems that they marked the location of Houses of Ill Repute. I took pictures and since that was before digital phones I had to have the film developed.

I did not get a single picture of the symbol when I got my pictures back.

they are still there in pompeii, positioned above the doorways. they didn't have neon back then.
also, you may not have noticed but they are also carved/engraved into the stone sidewalks in front of the bordellos. i guess so that just in case you were looking down instead of up when you walked by.
the madam would not want you to miss the establishment.
