Pretty sure that US button is 1812. :)
 
That is two more states this week I get to fill in on the CMD map! :)
 
I'll have to check it out in my Alberts book. Thanks. I dug it at a CW fort that was not around in 1812 or for about 50 years thereafter. But I know that uniforms do carry over to other times. I dug 2 Mexican - American eagle buttons ( real geek necked ones) at the same site. Steve
