I hunt lake Erie and what shocks me more than anything is the amount of round tabs I found up on the beach. I'm talking in sand that waves would never reach and wash round tabs up onto. Finding all these round tabs tells me other dry sand hunters haven't done a very good job of ring hunting. Just wondering if anybody else is finding round tabs in dry beach sand. You have to figure these things have been sitting around for, what...20 years?

's over a foot deep with my Pulse, and some almost as deep with my Excal. Some old timers say they can tell the difference between a gold ring and a pulltab. I sure wish I had that gift, as they sound just like a ring to me, enough to where I will dig it. I've gotten used to it and figure that if I'm finding the tabs, I will also find the rings. HH
