Hey everyone just happened to notice a very nice looking Tesoro Royal Sabre on a certain auction site.Well worth the money for some one that likes some of the older Tesoro models..I happen to own a Royal Sabre since new and wont part with mine even though would like to have a new tesoro soon...have a great weekend...Markmac

That didnt take long i see the Royal Sabre has been sold all ready and what a great buy for 100.00 in the condidtion this one looked to be in...Hope who ever got it enjoys it as much as i have mine. They made a best buy for the money i think...Markmac

Liked mine so well I got a 5.75" coil for it. I had to cut out some sheet metal because the little tab that holds the unit on the shaft broke off. I like to use mine with the tones set to split at tabs just in case I wanna trust the id in some trashy places-otherwise I use it as beep-dig.In the notch mode I can set it to ALMOST get rid of all the square tabs in the nickel area that register as nickel and yet still get a clear tone on nickels. But that's only in the worst case scenarios. Most of the time I'm using my Silver umax, but some special areas I use the Royal. Kinda makes you wonder just how far we've come along since then.
