Russian Bale seal

Michlar

New member
Hello,
I was out detecting yesterday in a very small village about 250 meters from the church, where it is said that the Danish King Valdemar Atterdag once has been visiting. I searched approx. 2 hours, and found only a Russian Bale Seal. I'm not sure how old it is.... but it may be back to the early Middle Ages, since at the time there was a fortress/ castle nearby.

Hmm.....I think it is only from the 18th century...and it is not from Russia....but from Leiden in Holland: http://www.ukdfd.co.uk/ukdfddata/showrecords.php?product=17533&cat=all
Well.....anyway....I have high hopes for the fields in the village, which I have permission to search on.
The town is dated back to the late Viking - Early Middle Ages
