Rye Patch ... When to go hunt?

Monte

Well-known member
Trying to plan a detecting jaunt next year to Rye Patch but curious how folks have done there and the detectors they used. Also, when is the earliest time to get in and hunt there weatherwise?

And if camping there for a week, how good are the campgrounds? Any info is appreciated.

Monte, detector prospector, as you probably know. HH jim tn
Yes, that one I know, but was hoping for others out of the Reno or other areas to get multiple comments. Trying to get more details about Rye Patch as well as regional ghost towns to prepare for our 16th WTHO June 7th thru 11th.
