Those are quite the find out there. I drove through Sac many times on my way gold prospecting.
 
Seated are far and few between especially with a foot of snow on the ground.Glad you got out and indeed nice finds..
 
Maybe US General Hancock or CS General Armistead lost the 1857 when they were posted in CA? Those two were like brothers and it haunted both men when the Civil War broke out and they went separate ways. Armistead died at Gettysburg and Hancock was severely wounded. If only coins could talk <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)"> Congrats, we do not see a lot of Seated from CA. Good hunting, David @ Dixie
