Well yesterday was a sad day for me. Decided to try and get one more detecting day in. It was a nice 46 degrees here in Nebraska. But when I got out to where I was going the ground was frozen solid! I couldnt get my digger in the ground a half an inch. So the few targets i found i couldn't dig up anyways. So I guess that means the e-trac goes into the closet for 5 months or so. Such a sad sad day!!!! :(

Bummer........

Try hunting the south facing side of hills, wooded areas with heavy leaf cover or even shallow moving water. Those areas are usually good for a little while after most other areas freeze up. :detecting:

I'll try to dig a few extra for you when Ray-Mo and I hit it tomorrow:twodetecting:

I hunt some Beaches in off times like this if there isn't any snow. I has to get pretty cold to freeze sand to where you can't dig. But that wind sure will get at you out there!

You might find a tot lot or playground that has some surface stuff on it. Or you could detect and mark your finds on a treasure map to go after in the spring. I found a few silver targets 6 inches or so down but it is in the shade all day long. It is in between two buildings. Ill go back there in the spring. I plan on finding some tot lots that are not frozen to detect because I am not yeady to hang it up just yet. Idigid
