Safari and Quattro Differences

Are the two machines the same except for the color or is the software updated on the Safari?

VaDigger, I am the proud owner a Quattro and I can tell you it's a great detector. I know its heracy to say this but I preferred it over the Etrac so I sold the Etrac and kept the Quattro. I cant factually answer your question regarding the Safari but I THINK they are the same.

I am a Safari owner. This is the first Minelab detector that I have owned. I really like the Safari. I believe it's truly one of the best metal detectors that I have ever owned. I am primarily a relic hunter, but the Safari has also done well on the beach. In my opinion, it does it all, or at least what I need it too. I don't really know that much about the Quattro, but my understanding is that the Quattro and Safari are similar machines. Best of luck to you in your decision.

The safari has VCO pinpointing,,the Quattro has a bump, bump bump sound while pinpointing like the explorer 2 does..I much prefer the safari for that reason alone ..Aside from that I’d say the color scheme is the only difference, and the stock coil
